The “sparring” buddy

The evening will showcase the two “sparring buddy” since the early years of 2006. Nanyang Polytechnic has been the team that the Huskies always meet for a good fight.

Unfortunately, the huskies had never beat them in an official match.

2004 - 13-0 (Away)
2005 - 7-0 (Away)
2006 - 3-0 (Home)
2007 - 2-1 (Away)
2008 - 5-2 (Away)

The two teams played a few friendly matches together and RP could only get one win from them at away with Amos Vikram scoring the only goal. But NYP still won over an aggregate of 3-2 when they visit us at home. Even after Zuladly scoring the long range half volley beating the keeper for a goal.

Tonight will be the night where the two teams are going to meet again. The POL-ITE tournament will be the last time these two teams are meeting each other. They are not grouped together in the IVP SR Nathan Cup in January 2010. So its either the greens or the blues who would grab the victorious moment at Republic Polytechnic’s home ground.

NYP features stars like Singapore’s captain Indra Sahdan Daud, Young lions’ Hafiz Sujad, and other club’s first team players.

On our side RP have to call in the two duo from young lions Madhu Mohana and Gabriel Quak who scored themselves one each in the previous game against SP.
